It’s not swagger.  I am just sore.

You know the feeling. Putting on your socks, going to the bathroom and scaling the stairs have all become painful pursuits.  And have you ever noticed that it really hits you a day or even two after your workout?

What is it?

Diastasis Recti is the thinning of the tissue, the linea alba, between the right and left rectus abdominis, causing them to separate. It occurs most commonly in pregnancy because of the inevitable pressure placed on the linea alba, in turn weakening it and creating space between the muscles. A small amount of widening is normal in pregnancy, however, about two thirds of pregnant women have too much widening, especially if the woman is over 35, carrying multiples, lacks muscle tone or if pregnancies are close together. HIIT it is an exercise technique in which you give maximum effort for a short burst, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods.
