Common Mistakes Women Make with Exercise

Calling all my ladies. Listen up because this stuff is important. I am trying to do you a solid by letting you know the most common mistakes I see women making when it comes to exercise. I am guessing you make at least one of these…am I right?

Alright, let’s not mess around and just get down to the nitty gritty.

Doing excessive amounts of cardio: I don’t hate cardio. I am not a naysayer because there is just something about getting your heart rate up that makes for a satisfying workout. Plus, it is beneficial for overall functional […]

Brows On Point

This blog is pretty off “brand” for me, but I wanted to write about my experience with microblading because it has been a complete game changer for me.

I do not consider myself high maintenance at all. I don’t wear a lot of make-up. I prefer classic Dove soap over anything fancy. When I am not in exercise clothes, my standorm uniform is usually jeans, t-shirt/hoodie and vans. My fingernails are complete and total nubs; I mean can’t even see the whites of the nail. You get the idea. And yet, I have semi-permanent make-up, and yes, I like to […]

The Importance of Proper Form in Exercise

Form is everything when it comes to exercise. And I am serious. Dead serious. If your form is not correct, you are doing yourself a major disservice because you are leaving yourself more susceptible to injury, and you are not getting the most out of your workout. So let’s chat about it shall we? I realize this can be a very dry subject, but I will try […]

Sweating for Two

Forgive me in advance. I tend to write mini novellas instead of blog posts, but this one is shaping up to be a full fledged novel. I just wanted to make sure I delivered on all the goods because there is so much, and it is an incredibly important topic about which I am pretty passionate. There is a ton of misinformation floating around on the internet in regards to exercise and pregnancy, and it kind of drives me crazy.

I get annoyed by antiquated advice saying you can only take a leisurely stroll while pregnant.
I get mad at trainers […]

The good, the bad and the ugly on fitness trackers

It sure seems like everyone and their dog has a fitness tracker these days, myself included. I was lucky enough to be gifted one of the fancy-shamnsy smart watches, and boy do I LOVE it (kid in a candy store status). Mine is the Fitbit Ionic smartwatch because I am team Android, but it is essentially the same as the Apple Watch with almost identical features.

The purpose of this blog is not to compare and contrast all the myriad of fitness trackers available, but whether or not smartwatches in general are worth the money because let’s be real…they cost […]
