I love, love, love workouts that are a set amount of reps that I just need to finish as quickly as I can. I find that I push myself more on these type of HIIT workouts because I know that the faster I go, the faster I am done. Motivation to just get in and get done.

I also love, love, love at home workouts that require little equipment. One of the best investments that you can make for your home gym is a set of dumbbells. You can honestly get them just about anywhere, and they are relatively expensive. You don’t even need a ton of different sizes. I honestly primarily use 3 different sets: smaller set (2-3 lbs), a medium set (5-15 lbs) and heavier set (15 – 25 lbs), but you can always just start out with one medium set as that is going to be extremely versatile!

I also love, love, love lifting weights and strength training because it is way more effective that just doing steady state cardio. And don’t worry ladies, lifting is not going to make you look like a man – you don’t have enough testosterone for that, but it will give you lovely defined muscles while shedding fat. Can anyone say win win??

The Lucky #7 workout combines all of these things that I love…a fast HIIT workout that can be done at home with just one set of dumbbells that will build muscle while stripping away the fat. YES!
